Convalescent Pigs: Liver and Muscle Examination
نویسندگان
چکیده
Comparative studies of muscle tissue and liver pigs recovered from intracerebral hematoma were carried out using proteomics histology methods. The absence pathological changes in the muscles animals during accumulation proteins with molecular weights 70 to 15 kDa limbs, 50 20 back was established. At same time, destructive structure convalescents revealed masses less than kDa. Thus, it has been shown that long-term period after parenchymal hemorrhage brain, consequences hemorrhagic transformation persist.

We have cloned the cD)NA encoding glycogen phosphorylase (1,4-a-D-glucan:orthophosphate a-D-glucosyltransferase, EC 2.4.1.1) from human liver. Blot-hybridization analysis using a large fragment of the cDNA to probe mRNA from rabbit brain, muscle, and liver tissues shows preferential hybridization to liver RNA. Determination of the entire qucleotide sequence of the liver message has allowed a co...

From 5 to 35 days of age, 32 Yorkshire pigs either remained with their dams continuously or were removed for 16 hr each day. At 35 days half of each group were slaughtered, while the remainder were weaned and fed ad l ibi tum until slaughtered at 70 days of age. Following slaughter brain, liver and a gastrocnemius muscle were weighed in entirety and sampled for determinax_ion of DNA, RNA and pr...
متن کاملEndotoxin induces differential regulation of mTOR-dependent signaling in skeletal muscle and liver of neonatal pigs.
In the present study, differential responses of regulatory proteins involved in translation initiation in skeletal muscle and liver during sepsis were studied in neonatal pigs treated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS). LPS did not alter eukaryotic initiation factor (eIF) 2B activity in either tissue. In contrast, binding of eIF4G to eIF4E to form the active mRNA-binding complex was repressed in mus...
متن کاملLiver and skeletal muscle mitochondria proteomes are altered in pigs divergently selected for residual feed intake1,2
Animals selected for residual feed intake (RFI) can be used as a model to elucidate molecular explanations for differences in growth efficiency. The objective of this study was to determine the extent to which the protein profile and posttranslational modifications of mitochondria from skeletal muscle and liver relate to feed efficiency gains in pigs divergently selected for RFI. Mitochondria w...
متن کاملFeeding stimulates protein synthesis in muscle and liver of neonatal pigs through an mTOR-dependent process.
Protein synthesis is repressed in both skeletal muscle and liver after a short-term fast and is rapidly stimulated in response to feeding. Previous studies in rats and pigs have shown that the feeding-induced stimulation of protein synthesis is associated with activation of the 70-kDa ribosomal protein S6 kinase (S6K1) as well as enhanced binding of eukaryotic initiation factor eIF4E to eIF4G t...
